i've been cast in the vagina monologues. :) i was going to be an understudy but now i am my vagina was my village... yeah, the uber depressing one. i can't even read through it yet without getting emotional.. i just hope i can remember how to channel that emotion into acting. god, i haven't done this for three years. this is very scary to me. the last acting i did was #&!@#&$^%@&@#*$#@# working... even getting to play a hooker in a boys' catholic high school drama group didn't make up for how badly that play sucked ass. this is.. like.. the real deal, at least comparitively.
it helps, too, knowing i have somewhere to put all this emotional buildup. tegan and sara help... itunes helps, like whoa. <3333 all the music. had a good weekend in lots of respects. still looking for a decent amoeba picture though. ;)

I did have a happy birthday, actually, better than last year's by far. I got good news, good presents, good phone calls and a party! Will have tipsy!ems and grinding!sam pictures to upload for all of your amusement at a later date. Friday we saw Revolutions, which I [predictably] loved because, as I said to Lindsay, I was like "OMG teh symbolism!!1!" - I love those movies as a tool for philosophical and theological discussion, not necessarily as fantastic movies. One of my favorite professors is teaching a seminar on them next semester, which I may want to take, it depends if I have the credits to waste >.< Erm, Saturday we [me, sam & lindsay] got up early and went to breakfast with my mom, aunt, uncle and cousins Zoe and Esme - went and watched Zoe's last soccer game - why are 8 year olds playing soccer so damn cute? We froze our noses off though, but my aunt paid for my spare tire AND got me a scarf :D Then went to the mall to look for my jacket only to find they didn't carry it anymore, so mumsy ordered it for me online :) Then, eh, back here for lunch and putzing around the room, then we took a nap all in my bed - wow, squishing - then cleaned like crazy mofo's and went to the liquor store with sweet Annie who didn't even stay for the party cus she was sick >.< but yeah, partyness, was fun. We have soooooo much leftover booze in our fridge, it's ridiculous. :)
Got package from Dad - contains chocolate, a huge candle [sugar cookie scent XD], a yankees ski cap [w0000t] and O___O a two towers puzzle in a cool tin. My dad is teh c00l, yo. :) And money from various family. Going to NY for thanksgiving, really looking forward to seeing all the fam. Miss Dad though.. can't wait for spring break. :D Mom not so thrilled about me not coming home for thanksgiving, but I can see she's trying to deal and let me make my own decisions. Which is, for her, a huge step. Maybe being 20 is different after all. :)

ETA: forgot to ask - am writing a 10 page paper on developmental themes in the HP series. Ems should get a clue and stop writing snippets based on her rpg characters. nobody gets the jokes except for sam, sekala, ashkitty, deadmuggle, jigglyfrog and devilmuse anyway.
Fewer adjectives and what she thinks are clever turns of phrase would make Ems' stories better.
If Ems writes a pointless angst drabble one more time I'll kick her ass because it's so annoying.
Ems should rewrite her unpublished percy/oliver and change it so it's ootp-compatible... she's working on it. XD
Ems should write about snape, not paired with anyone in her next story.

World Series begins October 18, tomorrow.
Yankees vs. Marlins. Didn't get to catch the end of the game last night, but damn. I'm proud of them. Red Sox gave them one helluva run for the series, I tell you that. I thought the Sox were going to win for sure. Excellent baseball. The whole series was a lot of excellent baseball, played extraordinarily well by both teams. I wish the World Series could be between two American league teams, because a Yankees/Red Sox World Series would make me teh uber happeh.
Oh, and I want Jeter/Garciapara. They're friends outside matches, did you know? And I will admit that Nomar's a better shortstop any day.

My jaw hurts. My teeth seem to be doing pretty well, even though I have had ice plastered to my face for the past 10 hours. Or on and off at least. The good part is that I will never have to have my wisdom teeth out again!
While I was going under the nurses kept talking to me about Lord of the Rings because of the lovely wonderful trinket that linaeloisetook entrusted to me this weekend. It really helped a lot, love. Thanks ever so much.
Can't wait to get back on Saturday... or hopefully Saturday. I'm going to talk to my Uncle tomorrow and arrange it with him. I really want to get back and hear M&Cs perform... it'll be the first time since I made the group that I'll get to watch them perform. There would be no hope for me singing, as I can't open my mouth any wider than my thumb at this point.

this was one of the best weekends of my life. groton may not be far from home, but it was fun and goofy all the same; they loved bend it like beckham like we knew they would, i mean come on how do you not love that movie, it's just screaming for 3some shipping :) and we stayed up late larping and made waffles for breakfast. sitting out on becky's porch with my earl grey and the cold air and the dog thumping her tail at my feet... that's what i want someday. and someone to sit and drink earl with, of course. and i did get to see home for a bit too. taking the girls around thayer street and even to the [hugeassuglymonstrosityofa] mall was a blast- the origins store where we gave each other glitter makeovers, filene's to try on prom dresses just because, the godiva store to drool... and then to my place to squish in sleeping 2 in my bed 3 on the futon, for not long enough before we got up to go to king richard's lake faire - i hate flat tires because we got ANOTHER ONE [thankfully not in gollum] on the way there and i changed it in like 10 minutes [i rule] - saw wiseass_goddess's brother who was playing the pirate king buck kinnear [bwafriggidyha] and tried on horns and hats and jewelry and wanted this gorgeous walking stick, handmade, only $30... next year must save up and bring MONEY to buy some of the amazing stuff they have there. best part of the day was definitely the stripping in the parking lot and piling back into the car with the blanket and the pillow and the lindsay and the sam and going for dunkaccinos and falling asleep snuggled together. watched quills - god i love that movie - and then linds and sam and i stayed up till 2 watching 'talk sex' and laughing our asses off and larping some more. monday was gorgeous and we spent it tooling around groton - got the tire fixed for $10 :D and walked around just basking in the glory of the day.. sam bought us a pizza [strongbad style] and then we drove back to school. yesterday was spent putzing around just sam and i - watched office space, laughed our asses off some more. classes started again today. i want it to be vacation all the time.
